From The Roots Up!

The NorthEast Tennessee Master Gardener's are proud to present the Second Annual "From the Roots Up" celebration, in honor of Arbor Day. Hosted by the Appalachian Fairgrounds, this event will take place April 22-23, 2011 from 9am to 4pm each day at the Appalachian Fairgrounds in Gray, TN. In addition to being the Inagural event, this is the first event of its kind in the nation! A variety of activities have been planned, including From the Roots Up 5k Run/Walk, Miss Arbor Day Natural Beauty Pageant, Easter Egg Hunt, numerous seminars and demonstrations, and much more!

This celebration will feature trees and their importance to our environment. Vendors will offer numerous trees and plants for sale, and offer advice on placement, care and cultivation, and other questions can be answered by vendors and Master Gardeners alike at the event.
